The Complete Answer to My Extra Question OR Quincy the Would-Be Rocker
Once uponce a time there was a little frog named Quincy. Quincy had a great life sitting on his lily pad nabbing flies with his tongue and watching his friends swim about doing their water ballet. He even had a song about him that all the children loved to sing, but alas, Quincy was not happy. You see, he longed fervently for a beautiful, flowing head of hair. Quincy was a huge fan of the band Aerosmith and wanted to look like his favorite rocker. All his friends told him this obsession with hair was unhealthy and silly but Quincy would not listen to them. He wanted hair. He tried several hair growth remedies to no avail. He even contemplated hair transplants but couldn't afford them. Finally his best friend, Melville, suggested he try a wig. Quincy liked the idea immensely. With his innumerable connections, Melville was able to obtain just the wig he thought Quincy would like. Quincy was ecstatic! He couldn't wait to get the wig on his head. After a somewhat lengthy preparation the wig was finally in place. Melville held the mirror up for Quincy to see. Quincy's eyes opened wide and his mouth hung open. He looked exactly like Steven Tyler! "Jumping Jehosephat, Melville!! Can you believe it?!" Melville was flabbergasted--speechless--amazed! Quincy really did look like the rock star. Slowly Quincy turned to Melville. The glow of discovery lit his eyes as he removed the wig. "Melville," he said. I believe I have just had an epiphany. I have suddenly realized that frogs are supposed to be bald." Melville just smiled. He'd known this all along. From that moment on a contented Quincy was seen hopping about the pond with his nice, green, bald head made all the better by his Bald Head Balm from Bloomingdale's. Melville just smiled and was happy for his best friend. This story is dedicated to my daughters, Brinlee and McKenna, both of whom loved the TELLING of the Grumpus story so much more than having it read to them.

Ok! I love love love this story and I can't wait to tell it to my children. I LOVE it! Seriously. Instantly. BUT where the hell did it come from? ...and what does it have to do with the dear to my heart Grumpus story? Which, you were very right in saying, I like it much better told than read. SO....What the hell? I love Quincy and Melville! Great story, but where....where did it come from? Hahahahahahahahahaha!
P.S. I'm copying and pasting that into my documents right meow! I LOVE YOU!
Haha....did you know that "Bald Head Balm" from Bloomingdale's is an actual product???? How funny is that???
