First Blog 2009

Well, here it is the second month of 2009 and I am only now blogging. So maybe I haven't had much to say or maybe I've been busy or maybe so much is happening that I feel overwhelmed. Huh. Maybe it is a combination of all of the above.Be what it may I'm here now and ready to write something. And now I'm just rambling. So what has been happening since I've been gone. We have a new president. We are in a recession. BRINLEE AND KYLE ARE HAVING A GIRL!!! See, there is a silver lining to every cloud.

Have you read "25 Things About Me" on McKenna's blog?? It made me laugh out loud. I tried to write a list of 25 things about me and I fell asleep. Just kidding but it is more difficult than it looks..or sounds.

What were your resolutions for the new year? My number one (as always) is to lose weight. So far, so good but I have a long way to go and I get discouraged easily. Tell me about yours and how you are doing. Maybe we can work on things together or help each other with tips and motivation.

OH! Just so you know....my Christmas tree is still up!! Hahahaha...obviously overcoming procrastination was not on my resolution list. On the up side...I've spent more time with my husband and that is a good trade off.

Last weekend we got to have my brother, Darrin (Dag to those who know) and my niece, Amber, for the weekend. It was so good to get to spend some time with them. We got to watch Amber play softball and let me tell you that girl has an arm on her. She threw the ball from centerfield to home and the catcher had to jump a bit to catch it. I was impressed. I sure get a kick out of attending things like that and watching family and friends "get their game on" whether it's dancing, softball, football, a play, or anything. I'm up for it and LOVE to be included.
