Exciting Times!

Can't believe my baby is engaged to be married! She will be marrying Adam Herpel, son of Mark and Kalynn Herpel, on June 4, 2010 in the St George Temple. Adam asked her to marry him last November during a hike in Zion National Park.
It's been a lot of fun getting to know Adam and seeing their relationship grow. They are the cutest couple! As of now, we are immersed in the details of wedding planning and home remodeling. We want all our friends and family to know how much we appreciate their helping hands as we struggle to get everything ready for the big day. McKenna and Adam have scraped all the "popcorn" from the ceiling and it's been redone with tons of help from the Unc and Kelly. Adam is sanding the front door in order to paint it as a bright welcome for all their neighbors and friends when they finally get moved in. I'm sure the cleaning, painting, prepping will go on all month so if you are in the mood for some good, hard work, come on over. It's quite the adventure! McKenna has done most of the work on the wedding planning. She's visited florists, dress shops, alterations places, invitation crafters, rental stores and looked at menus, linens, flowers arrangements, photos, and bridesmaids dresses. I think Adam thinks she's a slave driver. But all things considered, she's a trooper and if it all comes together like we hope it does, a lot of the credit belongs to her.  We also want to thank our Texas family for making the long, long trip to Utah to share McKenna's big day with her and Adam. We know logistics are tough from 1000+ miles. But we are excited about all the fun we hope everyone will share with us! Good times!!
