October Reprise

My birthday was the first part of the month and even though we were pretty laid back it was still a lot of fun. The girls took me to Olive Garden for a birthday lunch. It's so relaxing to kick back and just have fun with my daughters and granddaughter. And I got to spend lots of time with Brin and Kimber since they stayed with us while Kyle was working out of town. FUN!

I think Kimber is so excited that THE RANGERS BEAT THE YANKEES AND WENT TO THE WORLD SERIES!! Ranger fever, baby!! Thanks to Sharee for my awesome Rangers shirt!!
I was privileged to attend the dance theater production at Tuacahn of Thriller with McKenna and Adam. It was the first time I'd attended and Kenna finally talked me into it. I have this weird phobia of people in freaky costumes so this was a bit of a test for my nerves. I probably shouldn't reveal that as some of my so-called friends will show up at my door next Halloween and try to touch me. Anyway, the show was utterly delightful but what was even even more entertaining was game 2 of the World Series was being played at the same time. My friend, Mike, was texting me updates on the game during the performance and when the lights would go up enough I would check my texts. Finally Adam got the iPhone app going so we could check it out during the show. People all around us were asking in hushed voices what the score was when they caught on to what we were doing.  I hope we were discreet enough as I HATE being disruptive of something that has taken so much work to put together. Thanks, Tuacahn for putting on such an exemplary night for us.
And a huge thanks to McKenna and Adam for a wonderful evening of thrills and chills!
Yeah, how would you like to be hugged by one of these freaky people?? I thought so.

Next was the hilariously funny bunco Halloween party hosted by Vicki Wittwer. This bunch is the epitome of a good time! Thanks girls!

In case you didn't recognize McKenna's costume, she's dressed as a college student. I'm the chubby pirate...Arrrrgh, matey!
Vicki and her crazy, old ladie hankie hanging from her pocket with Rachel in chains :)
Mother-daughter duo, Kenna and Ruby. Ain't they cute??

Next was Halloween! How merry a time it is with a little one around!
Our little "shicken", Kimber. She was so cute and so into the whole trick-or-treat shenanigans!

Kimber and her little Morris cousin, Tashli. Kimber has a strange fascination with birds.
Trick-or-treating with some Dunkley friends. She wanted to go in this house as they had a dog. Forget the candy, give her the woof-woof every time.

Here's what McKenna and Adam did on Halloween. They took off to Big Bear to help Adam's friend celebrate his birthday. Looks beautiful, right?
All in all we had a great time this October. How was yours?
